Salem Arts Association is a volunteer-run nonprofit community gallery opening at their new location at 88 Wharf Street on historic Pickering Wharf in mid-to-late November 2025. Founded in 2007, Salem Arts Association features ten galleries with more than 2,000 square feet of exhibition space showcasing affordable locally created fine art, handcrafted jewelry, photography, ceramics, textiles, and unique gifts from more than 150 regional artists—perfect for holiday gift shopping. The new waterfront location offers enhanced street-level visibility with expansive front windows, excellent foot traffic, and improved accessibility. Opening with a Member Holiday Showcase featuring seasonal works, Salem Arts Association brings art in all its forms to the community while supporting North Shore artists. With rotating exhibitions throughout the year, this beloved Salem institution now calls Pickering Wharf home. Admission to the galleries is always free.
