Holiday Happenings brings together local event knowledge, business relationships, and on-the-ground experience in downtown Salem. The work is produced jointly by Creative Collective and Salem Main Streets.
Creative Collective
Founder & President
John works at the intersection of the creative sector, small-business development, tourism, and community building across Essex County. For Holiday Happenings, he contributes partnership strategy, story development, business visibility, and digital publishing.
Salem Main Streets
Executive Director
Kylie has led Salem Main Streets since 2013, supporting downtown businesses, coordinating community events, and advancing cultural economic development. For Holiday Happenings, she brings deep knowledge of downtown Salem’s businesses, traditions, and community programming.
Our editorial standards
Our goal is simple: help residents and visitors find accurate, specific, genuinely useful ways to experience Salem during the holiday season.
Event dates, times, locations, and participation details are checked against organizers, official listings, or information supplied directly to Holiday Happenings. If something is not confirmed, we label it to be announced rather than fill the gap with a guess.
Stories link to the businesses, organizations, events, and official resources readers need. Business features may draw on interviews and information supplied by the people being profiled.
When seasonal information changes, we update the story and display an updated date when the revision is meaningful. If you spot something that needs attention, please tell us.
Clear attribution
Every story identifies the person or team responsible for its publication, and the same attribution is carried in the structured data provided to search engines.
This byline is used for shared seasonal guides, partnership coverage, and legacy stories whose original individual writing credit was not recorded.
When one person is the primary writer, the story carries that person’s name and links back to their profile here.
