For nearly seven decades, DeIulis Brothers Construction has been more than just a construction company in Salem, Massachusetts—they’ve been builders of community, preservers of history, and proud supporters of the city they helped shape. Founded in 1958 by Italian immigrant brothers who came to America to start over after World War II, DeIulis Brothers began as residential homebuilders and mason contractors, bringing Old World craftsmanship to their new home on the North Shore.

What started with two brothers and a dream has grown into a three-generation family business that remains deeply rooted in Salem. Today, Frank DeIulis serves as President, with Anthony DeIulis as Vice President and Treasurer, and Patrick DeIulis as Vice President and CFO. The company even named their development arm “Pasquanna Developers” in honor of the founders, Pasquale and Anna, honoring the family legacy that continues to drive their work.

Building Salem’s Landmarks

DeIulis Brothers’ fingerprints are throughout Salem. They built the first significant downtown housing project—Central Plaza Condominium in 1981—helping transform downtown Salem into the vibrant residential community it is today. They reconstructed Essex Street’s pedestrian mall, the very streets where thousands now stroll during Holiday Happenings. From Salem Hospital’s main entrance lobby to the historic preservation of the Joseph Story House with its priceless Samuel McIntire carvings, from Ste. Anne’s Church to housing for the Salem Housing Authority, DeIulis Brothers has been there.

Their work spans commercial construction, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, religious buildings, and both multi-family and premium single-family housing. But what sets them apart isn’t just the scale of their projects—it’s their commitment to quality craftsmanship and community involvement that spans generations.

A Family Commitment to Salem

“In our industry, it’s gratifying to see the product of our work. It’s visible, something to point to and say, ‘We did that,'” says Patrick DeIulis. “It becomes a source of pride for our business to say we’ve had an opportunity to leave our mark.”

That pride extends beyond construction to philanthropy and community support. DeIulis Brothers has served on Salem Hospital’s Development Committee, supported cancer care fundraising, and consistently put Salem at the center of their giving. Now, with Patrick’s five sons involved in the family business, that commitment continues into a fourth generation.
